My spoiled “Princess and the Diva” were not going to be happy campers if I boarded them. "Sandy has been with us since February of 2005. She loves our dog the way we do. She pets him alot, gives him tons of hugs and kisses. She takes him for daily walks, does great brushing and gives him a lot of attention. She always has done everything we asked of her. She is very reliable, trustworthy, dependable, but most important for us is Sandy's true love for animals. We've been very pleased with the care and love she has given to our dog Brnio. "Finding a drop-in pet sitter was a top priority after moving to the St. Louis area with my husband and four-legged children. I interviewed several people offering services in Arnold. My two dogs helped with the interviews. Ralph and Nader are large and pushy. I needed to see that their new sitter wouldn't be bowled over or bullied by them. Most of the people I talked to passed this test. But it was also important to me that my new pet sitter treat this job as a serious business. After talking with Sandy for a few minutes, my decision was an easy one.

While everyone had a clear love of animals, Wags and Whiskers was set up as a professional organization. She asks great questions, follows directions precisely, leaves good notes with any comments or concerns from the visit and follows up if we're gone for an extended period to be sure we've returned.

I've told Sandy often that she provides me with the peace of mind and security that lets me leave my house when she is scheduled to come over. She's "Aunt" Sandy to our two dogs. And the cats make sure they get their fair share of attention too. Our neighbors that see her just assume she's a family member helping. That's kind of how I feel too. Sandy doesn't know this, but if I move again, she's going to have to move too."

"Kennels can be good – we’ve tried the finest in St. Louis. But even with the best TLC, our pets always returned home from kennels agitated and feeling as if they were nearly abandoned. This broke our hearts. Then we tried a pet sitter, and the difference was unbelievable. Just the fact that our babies stayed on their home turf while we were away made them comfortable and secure. When we got back, it was like we simply came back from the store.

Now we’ve had experience with several pet sitters over the years, and we’ve found that Sandy Oates of Wags and Whiskers Pet Sitting has consistently equaled or exceeded them all – in all areas. We have a Cocker Spaniel named Shiloh and a part Siamese cat names Chloe. The most important concern is Sandy’s true love of animals. It always comes through when she cares for our pets, so we end up feeling like someone in the family is caring for them.

As for the business side of things, her prices are more than reasonable for the excellent service she provides. She is available when we need her, even at inconvenient times. She’s bonded, but even beyond that, her honesty and integrity are beyond reproach; and for this reason we trust her completely with our pets, our home, and all its contents. She perfectly carries out any requests we might have and has shown complete responsibility when holding down the fort for us.

The bottom line is we always felt very uncomfortable leaving town because of the need to kennel our pets. Now, it’s not even an issue. You won’t go wrong with Wags and Whiskers. It’s just the friend your pets need."
